麻江县于2000年开始引种蓝莓，2002-2003年建立了我国南方首个蓝莓栽培试验示范基地200亩。2003年以来，先后有美国、法国、荷兰、智利、瑞典等国著名的蓝莓专家和国内从事蓝莓研究的科技人员前来麻江亲临指导，在麻江县举办了四次 “中国•麻江•蓝莓学术交流暨产业发展研讨会”。有国内外企业和十多个省市的各级领导亲临基地参观、考察和交流。8年来，麻江的科技人员在该基地开展了蓝莓适应性品种筛选、丰产栽培、种苗繁殖、病虫害综合防治等试验研究，取得了一系列国内领先的技术成果。2007年国家外国专家局将麻江县命名为“南方蓝莓繁育及栽培技术”引智成果示范推广基地，确立了贵州麻江在我国南方蓝莓引种、繁殖和栽培技术示范推广方面处于国内同类领先地位。目前，麻江正在实施贵州省“十一五”重点科技攻关项目“蓝莓优质高效栽培技术体系研究”和贵州省引智成果重点示范推广项目“蓝莓繁育及高标准栽培技术示范”等。到2008年，麻江县已引进了兔眼蓝莓、北高丛蓝莓、南高丛蓝莓和半高丛蓝莓等4个种类30多个品种，筛选出了适宜当地栽培推广的品种8个，在我国南方十余个省市栽培和推广。为我国南方蓝莓的规模化种植、产业化发展奠定了基础。
麻江县成为了蓝莓发展的一块热土。2007年，麻江县编制了《麻江蓝莓产业发展总体规划》，明确2011年之前建成2万亩蓝莓生产基地，到2018年，建成总规模达6万亩的生产基地。基地建成后，地外黔中的麻江县将形成“春观花、夏品果、秋赏页”的特色生态景观和产业亮点。
The Development Status Quo and Prospect of the Blue Berry in Majiang County
In 2000, the blue berry was brought in and planted in Majiang County. And then, the 1st blue berry planting test demonstration base of 200 mu was established in the south of China during the year of 2002 and 2003. Since then, many domestic and overseas blue berry experts of different countries respectively from America, France, Holland, Chile, Sweden and so on come to visit Majiang Base and give a lot of valuable advice and help on planting blue berry. In 2007, the National Foreign Experts Bureau ranked Majiang County as “the South blue berry breeding and cultivation technology” demonstration and promotion base for the fruits of the project introducing the foreign wisdom，which further establishes its leading position in the aspect of the blue berry introduction, propagation and planting. At present, “the 11th five-year plan” key scientific and technological projects "blueberry quality and efficient system of cultivation techniques" of Guizhou Province is being implemented in Majiang County.
Till now, the Rabbiteye blue berry, the Northern Highbush blue berry, the Southern Highbush blue berry and Mid-highbush blue berry more than 30 species are introduced to Majiang County. And 8 species apt to be grown in this district are selected out, promoted and planted in dozens of cities in the south of China.
Majiang County is a holy land for the development of the blue berry. The Plan on the Majiang Blue Berry Industry Development was worked out, pointing out that before 2011, 20,000 mu blue berry producing base will have been established, and in 2018, the total scale of 60,000 mu blue berry base will have also been accomplished. After the plan is carried out successfully, Majiang County, lying in the Southeast of Guizhou Province, will be a sparkling landscape and ecological characteristics of the industry highlight.
